In Last year's School Magazine,
Agni House Captain Vinit Chandra had mentioned
: Victory is sweet for us because we know the taste
of defeat, No one could measure the
depth of his feelings then. This year, Agni House
boys demonstrated a turn around From a struggling
House they became the leading House of the
School.
A journey from darkness to truth, a
journey from ignorance to bliss, a journey from self-pity to self-esteem - pride has been
successfully undertaken. It was pleasure and
honor to see them fight, fight for every point,
fight for every inch, Fight everywhere!
On two occasions , one weeks before
the summer vacation and the second from 28th July to
15th august, Agni seemed to be winning everything by
the grace of the Almighty. On the winning spree,
they won the chess tournament, football tournament,
basketball tournament, Hindi and English debate
competitions. We won the cross country where girls
lead by the indomitable Manisha Patel along with Lee
So Yeon helped us to win the 'first position'.
In order to spread awareness for environmental concern, our school had introduced a
series of Green House Competitions. The Agni won all
but one. In fact we won five out of six and came
second in the only edition where we could not come
first.
The spirit of the Agnis drew praise
from teachers and students alike. The motto "All for
one and one for all" worked wonders as the house
spun its web of strategies and action. Students like
Vinit Chandra and Gautam Chowdhary along with the
boys had worked hard last year. Vishvendra chowdary
as the Captain and Simranjeet Singh nagpal As the
vice captain took on mantle from where their senior
left.
Another prominent feature of Agni's
success has been the commendable contribution from
the new students of Agni.
As a silent
observer, I can only hope, the legacy that the boys
created and carried so proudly lives under the
Agni's and agneyas.
